Think of backpocket recruiting as the force behind WayPave. It's a set of beliefs, practices, and tools that can radically reshape hourly hiring. For good.
Backpocket Recruiting is a...
- Call to action. A call-to-action that says, "We've had enough of hiring-as-usual." That says, legacy recruiting solutions - e.g., job boards, 'help wanted' signs - aren't working for wage-paying businesses. Backpocket Recruiting says, "We're taking action."

When is WayPave launching in my area?
We're coming! Current timelines project we'll launch in Northwest Arkansas (our home base) June 2025, then to four states (Arkansas, Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma) by the end of 2025 and all 50 states by early 2026.
How will employers use WayPave?
WayPave is an app-based hiring solution, available for Apple and Android starting in Spring 2025. We have a job seeker app and an employer app. Employers will download the employer app, complete a basic profile, and create one or more job cards for vacant positions. Employers will then use WayPave's swipe-to-match interface to swipe-right on job seekers they'd like to hire. If the employer matches with a job seeker, WayPave will let the employer message and even interview right within the app.
What industries will WayPave serve?
Initially, our focus will be on retailers and food/beverage establishments. But our mission is to redefine hourly hiring across the board, and so we're eager to roll WayPave out to other wage-paying industries.
